The Ulster Automobile Club (UAC) will be holding its annual Car Display and Children’s Pedal Car Challenge and Car Display at Mount Stewart, home to the Londonderry family since the 18th century, on Sunday 7th July.
This year's event is celebrating the centenary of MG cars and there will be a very special display of MGs from each decade of production over the last 100 years.
The first UAC Children’s Pedal Car Challenges were held in the 1930s, along with dinner dances, to raise money for the world-famous Tourist Trophy Races at Ards - races won by MG three times in 1931, 1933 and 1934. The Londonderry family also hosted parties at Mount Stewart on the eve of the races with many VIP guests attending.
The Children’s Pedal Car Challenge is open to children (up to eight years old).
Visit the Ulster Automobile Club stand where volunteers to answer questions about the cars and motorsport in Northern Ireland.
