The spring hunt for fossils is open once again! Embark on a time-travelling expedition and uncover clues to the secret life of creatures that once roamed the north coast.

You’re invited to an afternoon of family-friendly fun on this secluded stretch of sand with Dr Mike Simms, Curator of Geology at National Museums NI, whose work led to the remarkable discovery of the only dinosaur bones to be found on the island of Ireland. Meet our team of volunteers in the car park at White Park Bay before setting off and being shown all you need to know about fossils – with stories of creatures from the past and a look at some of the oldest rocks on this island. Who knows what ancient wonders you could discover? This is event is part of the NI Science Festival and is free to attend however there are only limited spaces available so book early to avoid disappointment
