Meet Father Christmas

There'll be magic and Yuletide cheer in the Old Parsonage as Father Christmas arrives in his grotto from Saturday 16 November.

We're offering more dates than ever before, including quieter sessions on Wednesdays for those with sensory needs.

Walking with The Snowman at Clumber Park

From Saturday 16 November, take a wintry walk and relive the magic of Raymond Briggs’ heart-warming picture book, The Snowman™.

Discover a trail of twelve giant Snowman sculptures which can be found at iconic locations across the park, each decorated with designs inspired by the song The Twelve Days of Christmas.

With themes of friendship, imagination and adventure, The Snowman™ is the ultimate festive story to explore with family and friends. So grab your snow boots, wrap up warm, and get ready to go on a magical journey.

Christmas Fayre

Soak up the spirit of Christmas, and cross some presents off your list, with stalls selling handmade treasures and festive delights. Situated throughout the Lincoln Stables, the Turning Yard and the Laundry Yard on Saturday 23 & Sunday 24 November and Saturday 7 & Sunday 8 December.

Music in the Chapel

Take in the atmosphere of the Chapel of St Mary the Virgin this season with our free musical events.

Drawing its members from across Derbyshire and Yorkshire, the New Chamber Choir will perform a selection of the best Christmas music for choir, ranging from traditional sacred carols to jazz arrangements of modern classics, on Saturday 7 December.

Come in from the cold and join us for a festive, vintage playlist from the incredibly popular 1940's artist, Jayne Darling on Saturday 21 December.

Get into the Christmas spirit with our traditional carol service. Hear the story of the birth of Jesus in nine readings from Genesis and join in as Thoresby Colliery Band play nine carols, on Sunday 22 December.

Join us for the annual Christmas Day service at 11.30.

Festive organised walks & runs

Enjoy our free Heritage & Horticulture Amble around Clumber Park's Pleasure Grounds on Monday 16 December. Take a look back at how the ducal family of the Regency era celebrated Christmas; the games that were played, the role of the 4th Duke's protestant Christianity, and the charitable responsibilities that the family felt they had towards the nearby villagers.

Dress up and take part in our special Christmas Eve Trust 10k. Enjoy a free morning run and take in the spectacular winter scenery.

Join us for our annual Tinsel Trek on 27 December and blow away the cobwebs with our free, volunteer-led walk, approximately 6-7 miles long.

Wrap up warm and join us at dusk for a guided Lantern Walk around the Pleasure Grounds. Hear tales about the lives of the Dukes of Newcastle and see Clumber in a different light. Saturday 28 & Sunday 29 December and Saturday 4 & Sunday 5 January.

The Elves Eatery

Every weekend from 16 November, the Clock Tower Parlour will be transformed into the Elves Eatery, where visitors can enjoy a range of hot & cold snacks including festive sandwiches, roast potatoes and pigs in blankets, speciality hot chocolates and mulled wine. Open every day through the school holidays.

Santa Paws

Treat your four-legged friends to a visit from Santa Paws at Central Bark, our dog-friendly cafe. This event takes place on Saturday 21, Sunday 22 & Monday 23 December. Includes a special treat.
