Coleshill 1940s Weekend
Enjoy a 1940s themed weekend at Coleshill, complete with vintage stalls, period music, re-enactors, military vehicles and more.
- Booking advisable
During the 1940s Coleshill was home to the Auxiliary Units, a rag-tag band of irregular troops who would have become the British resistance in case of invasion. 2024 marks the 80th anniversary of the stand-down of this unique organisation. During the weekend there will be a chance to find out more about the Auxiliary Units, including a chance to visit a replica 'Operational Base' the underground hideaway they would have operated from after an invasion. There will also be a chance to see some of the surviving traces from the wartime occupation of Coleshill.
Visit Coleshill and see what life in Coleshill during the 1940s would have been like. Take part in 'Dig for Victory', browse a range of vintage stalls and sit back and listen to live period music. There will also be a wide range of Children's activities taking place across the site.
