The Sounding Chamber Sessions
Join us for a series of mid-week mini concerts outside Cliveden's historic Sounding Chamber.
- Booking not needed
- Free event (admission applies)
Built in the 1600s, the Sounding Chamber is one of the oldest spaces on the estate, and its unique acoustics suggest it could have been created especially for live music performances. This July, we are bringing music back to the Sounding Chamber with a series of free, mid-week mini concerts.
1, 2 & 4 July: Upstart Violyns. Classical 17th century music, performed by specialists in music from the Baroque era in which the Sounding Chamber was built. This programme has been designed to reflect what could well have been the first music ever played at Cliveden House.
9 & 11 July: The Gershwin Gang. Tap your toes to the sound of some jazz favourites, while you relax and enjoy the view across Cliveden's iconic Parterre.
