Summer of Play: little wheels cycle skills sessions at Calke Abbey
Put your cycling skills to the test this summer on a balance bike course at Calke Explore.

Held every Thursday in August, our cycle hire team will bring you a new course each week. Build your confidence on two wheels by weaving through slalom poles, balancing over bridges and tackling ramps.
The course is perfect for children under eight who can ride a small pedal bike or balance bike.
Bring your own bike or borrow one of ours (no extra charge) and take on the challenge!
Our cycle hire team will be on hand to help little ones get to grips with balancing and teaching cycle skills.

- What to bring and wear
Please wear weather appropriate, comfortable clothing, suitable for cycling. We also recommend closed toe shoes with a good grip. Helmets will be available to borrow.
- Accessibility
Access to the field is level and suitable for trampers, wheelchairs and pushchairs. Unfortunately, only standard balance bikes (without pedals) and standard children's bikes are available.
