Visit Father Christmas at the Rock Houses

Dressed in traditional green robes, Father Christmas will be paying a visit to the Rock Houses this year. Step inside the Rock House with its cosy wood fire and enjoy a magical Christmas experience.

  • Booking essential
  • Admission applies

Our traditional Father Christmas, Mother Christmas and their woodland elves will be at the Rock Houses on the weekends of 30th November and 1 December, 7th and 8th December and 14th and 15th December.

Children will get the opportunity to visit Father Christmas in his Rock House grotto. Children can have a chat with him, receive a gift and have their photo taken. Once they have visited Father Christmas they can make magic reindeer food, make a wish for the world and create a natural bird feeder to take home.

Tickets £10.50 per child. Normal admission applies. Max 6 children per session.

For those children who need to visit at a quieter time or need extra time please see our Quiet Visits with Father Christmas event and book tickets there.

*If your circumstances do not require the quiet Father Christmas Experience, please book here.*

Sessions every 5 minutes from 10.30am – 12pm and then from 12.30pm – 2.30pm

All children will receive a small gift from Father Christmas. Christmas craft activities will also be available. Help us make some reindeer food and leave it out for Rudolph and friends to enjoy on Christmas Eve.

The tearoom will also be open for delicious seasonal treats.

Admission to the Rock Houses applies to non-members. Free entry for National Trust members and under 5s.
