This year's Christmas theme 'Christmas on the Continent' will see Ickworth Estate transformed into an exciting exploration of 18th century Europe. You will follow in the footsteps of one of Ickworth's most notable residents, the Earl-Bishop, as he embarked upon a Grand Tour of the Continent.
On this family-friendly winter trail through the beautiful Albana woodland, you will discover the themes of travel, exploration and inspiration. Ickworth has teamed up with UK-based artists, Pickle Illustration, who have created a series of colourful, engaging designs that draw upon the stories of the Earl-Bishop and bring the winter trail to life in fun and vivid detail.
As you wind your way along the route you will spot teasers from our collection in Ickworth house, there will be a trail sheet to guide you and different activities to get involved in as you go.

- What to bring and wear
This is an outdoor trail so wear warm clothing and suitable footwear.
- Accessibility
This trail takes place in the Albana woodland, which is an accessible route. The path is gravel and limestone which is firm underfoot but not completely smooth. The trail route is suitable for mobility scooters, pushchairs and wheelchair users accompanied by a carer.

Dogs are welcome on this trail but please note they are not permitted in the house or formal gardens and must be on leads at all times.
