Who took a bite out of the sun? How are flying monkeys made? What happened to the boy with no head? And how on earth can it take so long to find a coconut for breakfast?! Hold on to your hats! Emily & Sheema take us on an hour long wild, music-filled ride through myths and folktales of India. Bursting with stories, silliness and participation, this is a perfect adventure for the whole family. This spellbinding show is bursting with humour, dance, ritual and playful energy. Emily and Sheema have been fusing live storytelling and music for 10 years, specialising in Indian mythology with music that draws on both Indian classical and contemporary traditions. With a style that is highly accessible and deeply engaging, they have toured a wide range of venues including international storytelling festivals in India and Europe, British Museum, Soho Theatre, York Theatre Royal, Rich Mix, Northern Stage, Ancient Technology Centre, and Rural Touring schemes across the country.
