Follow in the footsteps of Rudyard Kipling as he discovers what his Scottie dog has been getting up to around the house and garden. Follow the trail at your own pace – suitable for families with primary school aged children.
£2 per trail, with a small prize.

The basics

Suitable for families with primary school aged children.

Pick up a trail sheet at visitor reception.
- What to bring and wear
Wear clothing and footwear suitable for the weather.
- Accessibility
This trail takes place throughout the garden and into the ground floor of the house. It includes paths with steps, slopes and varying surfaces. Please see the access pages at www.nationaltrust.org.uk/batemans for further information.
- Other
Your own pet pooch is welcome to join you on a lead throughout the garden. A few stops along the trail are located inside the house, so we ask that one of your group remain outside with your dog for this section.
