Lamb House has been a landmark in Rye for the past 300 years. Learn about the biography of the building and how it has changed over time.

From the Lambs, unexpected Royal visitations and an outstanding literary prowess, discover the past inhabitants of the house and the creative influences they found here.

Explore our exhibition space which displays various artefacts from the house's past, delving into its literary connections through some of the greatest writers of the 20th century including Henry James, Rumer Godden and E.F. Benson.
