Ranger Walks & Talks: Parkland Dog Walk
Join Ranger Matt and his dog for a free guided walk in The Great Park as part of National Dog Walking Month.

Bring along your four-legged friends and join in on a guided walk across historic parkland. This walk will cover sites such as Ringwood Toll, the Hammerdick Stream, the 18th Century Irongates Lock, World War Two Pillbox, and Skyglade, before finishing in East Park.

Ranger Walks don't need pre-booking. On a first come, first served basis.

Aimed at adults and older children.
- Meeting point
Meet outside Visitor Reception.
- What to bring and wear
Sensible footwear and clothing is recommended as the parkland can be muddy depending on the weather. Dogs must be kept on leads in the Great Park.
- Accessibility
The route includes the parkland and woodlands which are rough terrain. Do contact us in advance if you would like to discuss accessibility.
- Other
Dogs must be kept on leads in The Great Park. Although you might not be able to see them, there will always be livestock grazing in the parkland. Dogs may only be let off the lead in East Park. Route will cover approximately four kilometres, and will last between 45 minutes to an hour.
