The summer months are often met with the age old wasp swatting dance whilst we're trying to enjoy our afternoon ice creams, but what do wasps really mean to you? Friendly pollinator, or ice cream stealing foe?

Come and join Kevin, our Collections Officer, for an open discussion on the ever divisive wasp. Kevin is a font of all knowledge when it comes to all insects that grace our beautiful estate with their presence, join him for an insightful talk in to the life cycle of a wasp. Explore (dormant) nests, and really learn how these magnificent little creatures make our world go around, before heading out in to the parkland to see evidence of their little lives.

Meet in the Dining Room of Newton House, where there will be a delicate display of the incredible structures wasps call home to accompany your talk.
- Accessibility
The Dining Room is on the ground floor of the house, with no steps needed for entry. The walk will head out in to the deer park, where the ground is uneven.
