Join our Ranger Team in becoming citizen scientists for the day and take part in the world's biggest survey of butterflies, Butterfly Conservation's Big Butterfly Count 2024.
Join us as we take a leisurely walk on the Dolaucothi Estate where we’ll be counting butterflies and discussing all things citizen science and wildlife recording. It’s also a great opportunity to find about our TWIG project and life as a Ranger on the Estate.

10:00 – 12:00 Walks meet at the Woodland Carpark, opposite the main gates to Dolaucothi Goldmines 13:00 – 15:00 Walks meet at the Coach House, opposite the Dolaucothi Arms in Pumsaint Village
- What to bring and wear
Please dress for the weather, rain or shine, with comfy, outdoor footwear. If the weather is hot, you might like to bring a drink.

Suitable for all ages and abilities, with no steps to climb and largely level terrain
