The tour follows the life of Lady Alice Douglas Pennant from her early childhood in the nursery floors of Penrhyn, to her burial in Capel Curig. It tells the story of her strong and passionate character, her clashes with her domineering father and the wider struggles of women towards the end of the 19th century. Discover some rooms that you have never witnessed during your previous visits, including the Unloved Rooms, the King's Bedroom and many others. If you are interested in a tour around the castle, a member of staff at the visitor welcome centre will be able to assist and will book you on a tour when you arrive on the day (19 and 20 December only).
