Tai Chi at Upton House and Gardens
Join Debbie Wild from the Swan School of Tai Chi and Qigong, who will guide you through this ancient Chinese exercise, in the meditative setting of our Quiet Orchard, on alternate Wednesdays from 17 April, 10:45am-12:15pm.

Debbie Wild and the Swan School of Tai Chi and Qigong has been teaching the ancient Chinese practise to local residents for over twenty years.
Combining non-impact, gentle movement, meditation, slow breathing and balanced postures, Tai Chi is suitable for all levels of fitness. Health benefits include improved co-ordination, concentration and emotional wellbeing.
Join Debbie in the Quiet Orchard, a dedicated Silent Space, as she guides you through the gentle Tai Chi movements. In the surroundings of Upton's historic fruit trees, the classes are the perfect opportunity to immerse yourself in nature whilst increasing your health and wellbeing.
Every other Wednesday between 17 April and 4 September inclusive.
Please arrive by 10:45 ready to start promptly at 11am. Debbie will meet you at Visitor Reception and lead the class walking 300 yards to the Orchard.
£12 per person for each session. These sessions are suitable for all capabilities aged 16+.
20 people maximum per session. If any session is fully booked and you wish to go onto the waiting list, please email uptonhouse@nationaltrust.org.uk.

Meet instructor Debbie Wild at Upton's Visitor Reception, located near the car park, at 10:45am promptly.
- What to bring and wear
Please dress for the weather. We recommend that during the winter months you wear warm clothes, gloves and hardy footwear, as the sessions will take place outdoors in the Orchard.
- Accessibility
There is level access to the Orchard. A buggy service is available for anyone unable to walk the 300 yards from Visitor Reception. Disabled parking is available in the visitor car park. Some disabled parking is also available close to the house. Please let Upton or the instructor know of any access requirements in advance.
