Immersion Theatre are thrilled to be reviving their acclaimed production of Shakespeare’s funniest, most magical comedy of all: A Midsummer Night’s Dream!

This hilarious adaptation sees Shakespeare’s fantastical characters brought vividly to life as audiences are transported to an enchanting world bursting with magic, romance, and of course, heaps of laugh-out-loud comedy! Four young lovers, a band of hapless actors, and a magical realm populated by mischievous spirits set on causing mayhem at every turn culminate in an unparalleled open-air experience of beauty and hilarity.

Multi award-nominated Immersion Theatre have developed a reputation for producing first class, fast-paced adaptations of Shakespeare’s plays. This is Shakespeare as it’s meant to be: interactive, fun, and highly accessible!

The performance will take place on the front lawn and will last approximately 110 minutes, including interval. Suitable for ages 8 plus. Please bring your own low-backed chairs or rugs. Performances will continue in wet weather so please come prepared! You are welcome to bring your own picnics/refreshments, as the tea-room will be closed during the event. All tickets are non-refundable.

Please note: The site will be closed between 5pm and 5.45pm. All daytime visitors will need to leave the property during this time.

The basics

Booking details

Call 0333 666 3366 for telephone bookings. A service fee of £2 applies to all completed telephone bookings in addition to any booking fee.

Suitability

Children are welcome at this event. Suitable for ages 8+.

Meeting point

The performance will take place on the front lawn opposite the castle. Please head through the visitor welcome centre on arrival to have your tickets checked.

What to bring and wear

Please bring a chair/blanket/something to sit on. Seating is not provided. We advise bringing a picnic and suitable clothing and footwear for the weather.

Accessibility

The route to the front lawn is accessible but please note that seating is on the grass and that chairs will not be provided.

Other

Well-behaved dogs can attend however they must be kept on leads at all times and not cause any disruption to the performance. Disruptions during the performance may lead to your party being asked to leave the event.
