On weekdays, the castle at Croft Castle and Parkland will be open for guided tours only. The castle is usually closed during the week in winter, so this is a chance to get a behind-the-scenes peak in the castle.
We are given tour spaces on a first come first serve basis and therefore cannot guarantee you a space. Join our knowledgeable volunteers for a guided tour of select rooms, learning more about the history of Croft and the families who lived here.
Guided tours will take place twice a day and last approximately 45 minutes. There is no additional cost for guided tours, but normal admission fees apply.
A limited number of tickets will be available on arrival at visitor reception, on a first come first served basis. Advance booking not required.
Please note that each tour will take place in select rooms in the castle depending on winter cleaning schedules and conservation work.
On weekends, the castle will be open as normal, on a self-guided, free-flow basis. The parkland, gardens, and tea-room will be open daily during our winter opening. The whole property will be closed on 24, 25 and 26 December.
* The Castle will be free flow on 23 December and from 27 December to 5th January.
*There will be no guided tours from Monday 6 - Wednesday 8 January, as the team will be busy taking down the decorations.
