Wild Imagination Outdoor Family trail
Saturday 30 November until Sunday 5 January 2025
As the world of plants and nature flourishes inside the Court, characters from the Wild Imagination exhibition have escaped into the Parkland taking our family visitors on an adventure with them.
Brought to life by artist Sarah Taylor Silverwood in collaboration with young people from Pershore, embark on an outdoor adventure to discover them all! Venture into the parkland to discover a series of fantastical characters, originally created as part of Wild Imagination - a new animation by artist Sarah Taylor Silverwood.
Sarah worked with young people from Pershore to explore Croome’s landscape and plants, including some of those featured in the Hortus Croomensis, a guide to Croome’s vast and varied plant collection written by Head Gardener William Dean 200 years ago. Our Pages from Nature theme celebrates the anniversary of this publication, and participants responded to the theme by taking inspiration from nature, gathering drawings and imagining wild and wonderful characters that were brought to life by the artist.
Wild Imagination is part of a wider collaboration taking place throughout 2024 between Meadow Arts and Croome, which sees both organisations work with young people from Pershore to respond creatively to landscape, nature and heritage spaces. Join the characters on their adventure as they roam across Croome’s gardens in this year’s outdoor winter trail – how many will you discover?
This project is generously supported by the Tony Brooks legacy and public funding from Arts Council England and The Elmley Foundation.
Free trail - Normal admission applies.
Please note: Croome is closed 24 & 25 December.
