Thinking Sticks - Meadow Arts 'stick hire service' for dogs
If your dog could speak, what might they say? On Friday 12 July, bring along your four-legged friend and have their portrait taken with a ‘thinking stick’.
- Booking not needed
- Free event (admission applies)
Visual arts charity Meadow Arts and artist Chris Poolman will be running a ‘stick hire service’ for dogs at The Weir Garden. Only these special sticks come with a difference; they are philosophically inclined sticks. Is your dog a deep thinker? Does your dog have existential tendencies or maybe believe in power/knowledge/bones? Visit the stick hire service and have your dog’s photo portrait taken with their thinking stick.
This event is free, however normal admission to The Weir Garden applies.
This project is generously funded, thanks to a UKSPF grant from the Herefordshire Council as part of a wider project with Meadow Arts, a contemporary visual arts charity, to explore our visitors’ views on the evolving landscape at The Weir Garden and how they’d like to use it in the future.
Chris Poolman collaborates with Elizabeth Rowe as General Public. Occasionally he works on his own too on pet based artworks.
