This 12-mile walk has dramatic views of the Colne Valley from two local reservoirs

An interesting and scenic walk of about 12 miles that should take about 7 hours. It starts along the canal towpath then climbs up onto the ridge overlooking the Colne Valley and continues on to Lynthwaite. Passing alongside the Blackmoorfoot Reservoir and through woodland, it arrives at Deer Hill Reservoir, with further picturesque views of the valley and moorland. The walk then descends on a moorland path down to Marsden.
