Parking: One pre-allocated parking space is available just off Poole Quay. You must let us know your registration number at least seven days in advance as the area is monitored and unregistered cars will be fined.
Access: The island is accessible by ferry, which is operated by Greenslade and departs from the Greenslade kiosk on Poole Quay between 14 March 2026 and 1 November 2026.
Between 2 November 2026 and mid-March 2027 the island will be accessible by a pre-bookable boat leaving Poole Quay at 3pm and Brownsea Island at 10am.
Please note, there are no ferries to or from the island on 25 December, 26 December and 31 December. Arrivals and departures are not available on these dates.
There are no ferries in the evening. The last ferry to Brownsea Island is at 4:30pm.
Further details for the parking and the ferry will be provided soon after you have made your booking.
Ferry baggage policy: Please pack efficiently and travel light, as you’ll have to carry your own bags on and off the ferry. There’s a limit to the amount of baggage that can be brought on, so that it can be safely stowed in time for departure, leaving enough space for all passengers.
