About the Causeway Hotel

The story of the Causeway Hotel began in 1836, when Miss Elizabeth Henry built the hotel, creating the first place for travellers to stay overlooking the famous rock formations.

Today, you can still enjoy this dramatic landscape from the comfort of the Causeway Hotel – offering 28 en-suite rooms, all with views of the Atlantic Ocean, or with a private terrace to enjoy the sun setting in this magical landscape.

You’re sure to find a cosy corner in the bar lounge to enjoy a drink, a light bite or a hearty meal after a long day’s exploring the coast. Or enjoy views across the Atlantic Ocean, overlooking Runkerry beach, in the light and airy Causeway Hotel restaurant. With a varied menu of locally sourced produce, you can tuck in to the flavours of the season, while soaking up the views.

Or perhaps you're looking for a dramatic coastal venue for your wedding? The Causeway Hotel is ideal for civil ceremonies and wedding receptions, offering sea views and elegant interiors. The Drawing Room is licensed for civil ceremonies and has panoramic views of Runkerry beach. The glistening Ballroom can cater for up to 120 guests for your wedding reception.

The Causeway Hotel is also a beautiful, coastal venue for conferences, meetings, seminars, retreats or team-building days. With a range of facilities, such as a podium, flip charts, front projection screen and more, as well as accommodation for up to 40 people, the Causeway Hotel is a practical and inspiring setting for your event.
