Stay in a Lake District beauty spot, once voted Britain’s best view. Wasdale Hall Lodge sits just yards from the south-western end of Wastwater, England’s deepest and most tranquil lake. You’ll be nestled in the remote valley in a sturdy stone cottage renovated with traditional furnishings.
There is extensive high fell walking and outdoor activities from its door step. The start of the trail routes to Scafell Pike and Great Gable are located a short drive away at the other end of the lake. The nearby village of Nether Wasdale is home to pubs, while Wasdale Head and Gosforth have a local shop and restaurant.
Beyond the mountains the Cumbrian coast and shingle beach at Ravenglass are just a 20-minute drive from the cottage.

Parking: Parking available next to the cottage.
Access: The cottage is accessed via roads and tracks that, in winter conditions, can be difficult to negotiate. In periods of very bad weather we may not be able to prepare the cottage for your stay as it is very unlikely that you would be able to access the cottage safely. If this is the case we will contact you in advance and discuss the options with you.
Garden: There is an enclosed garden with a small private patio.
Television/Signal: A television and DVD player are provided but please note there is no television reception. Visitors may wish to bring their own DVDs.

Dogs: While the cottage accepts dogs, please note that the garden is not secure so they may need to be supervised when out there.
