Housesteads is a beautifully-restored Victorian farmhouse packed with original features. The 19th-century building was once the home of the Thompsons, the then custodians of Hadrian’s Wall.
A short stroll from the holiday home is the ruins of Housesteads Fort. Explore this ancient Roman ruin as well as a particularly impressive section of the wall.
Drive 10 miles from Housesteads and you’ll reach Allen Banks and Staward Gorge. This stunning corner of Northumberland is ideal for long woodland walks.
