A grade II-listed cottage in the Hope Valley, surrounded by scenic walks and climbing adventures
Wilson Farmhouse, with two neighbouring holiday cottages, sits in a landscape of grazing fields, ancient woodland and heather moorland. It has views towards Eyam Moor, and trails lead to the Longshaw estate for expansive views and red deer spotting, less than a mile away. Climbers will love the challenges of the Gritstone Edges.
The farmhouse dates from the late 1700s and is a lovely mix of old and new. You’ll find inglenook fireplaces and log-burning stoves in the sitting room and in the snug.
The cottage has a private back garden with a patio and lawned area for relaxing, playing and dining outdoors. You’ll share an enclosed front yard with the neighbouring cottages, as well as an electric vehicle charging point.
The large village of Hathersage is less than a mile away and has local shops and restaurants. Grindleford Station is just a little further, and Sheffield is 7 miles away.
Larger groups can book Wilson Farmhouse along with its neighbouring cottages, Gorsey Bank Barn (sleeps six) and Millstone Barn (sleeps four).
Entrance hallway, sitting room with log-burning stove, snug with log-burning stove, dining kitchen and WC.
