A countryside cottage with sweeping vistas and a country rustic interior.
Look out over sweeping vistas of rolling hills and coastal heathland from the windows of this two-bedroom cottage. It sits in a dreamy location high on Holdstone Down, so nothing will come between you and those stunning views.
Step inside the white-washed cottage to reveal a bright and airy space that hints rustic charm with its log-burner, dark wood flooring and panelled walls. You’ll be able to breakfast alfresco on the front lawn, which is shared with neighbouring West Challacombe Manor (sleeps five), which can be booked together, before setting off for the day ahead.
The shops, restaurants and beach at Combe Martin are just a 20 minute walk from the cottage. As you’ll be on the fringes of Exmoor, you could loop onto the South West Coast Path for its rugged coastline or delve further into its hilly moorlands.
Ground floor: Sitting room with multi-fuel stove. Kitchen-diner.
First floor: Bedroom with king-size bed. Twin bedroom. Shower room with toilet.
A large garden at the front of the cottage, with outdoor dining furniture and countryside views, which is shared with West Challacombe Manor.

To create a haven for wildlife and people, we've planted 20,000 trees and created a wetland in the land around the holiday cottages. Leaving space for species-rich grassland full of wildflowers to spread across the farm, we're creating a much more biodiverse landscape.
Landscape-scale conservation, with its huge benefits for nature and wildlife, is a focus for our West Exmoor ranger team. Find out about 3 of our current projects here.
As well as walking trails from the front door, there's more to discover within driving distance. The ancient woodland of Heddon Valley is to the east, with walks to Heddon's Mouth where the river meets the sea between some of England's highest cliffs, and the secluded shingle beach at Woody Bay, surrounded by tree-covered cliffs.
