We have lots of dog-friendly cottages in the Peak District and Derbyshire, so you can bring your favourite four-legged friend on holiday with you.
The Peak District offers some of the finest dog-walking country in the UK. Head off the beaten track to tackle the towering tors, climb the craggy peaks or wander through ancient woodland. And for pups that like the gentler life, there are plenty of walking trails through peaceful parkland and gardens.
When you stay at one of our pet-friendly cottages, you’ll find everything you need for you and your pooch to have the perfect break. Choose from cosy converted barns, stone cottages with a view and luxury manors – all within or close to the Peak District National Park.
White Edge Lodge is a former gamekeeper's cottage with stacks of charm. Many of the original features remain, including the game cellar which now hosts the kitchen. There is also a roll-top bath boasting moorland views. It caters for five people and two dogs and is the ideal base to explore the National Park.
This former estate office is now a three-bedroom, pet-friendly holiday cottage and a great spot to explore the Peak District. Guests on two legs and four can enjoy a peaceful walk around the parkland of Kedleston Hall before any other visitors arrive. The grounds also host many events throughout the year, from craft workshops to outdoor theatre performances.
Guests (including pup) are invited to explore the Hardwick estate, in which this converted 16th-century stable yard is located on. It dates back to the time of the formidable 'Bess of Hardwick', who would have resided close by in the main house. It has three-bedrooms, with room for one dog, and is a 30-minute drive to the eastern edge of the Peak District.
Norbury Manor is the ultimate, luxury get-together. With five bedrooms, original wood panelling and stained glass windows, it's great for families and large groups to soak up a piece of history. It even has a 'snug' room where you and your pups can curl up in front of the open fire.
