Christmas at Sutton House 

Fri 29 Nov, Sun 1, Fri 6, Sun 8, Fri 13 & Sun 15 Dec 2024. Discover this beautiful Tudor home decorated for Christmas including a tree decorated with snowflake paper cuttings made by local school children, inspired by the 17th century paper cuttings currently on display. Families can follow a trail through the house featuring toys from Christmases past. There’s also the chance to meet Father Christmas!

Lost by School Girls 

Rare survivals of decorative paper cutting by schoolgirls nearly 350 years ago have been found under floorboards at Sutton House. The paper-cuttings will be on display at Sutton House until June 2025.

Tudor wreath making workshop: 8 December 

This Christmas join Lab Tonica for a festive afternoon learning about the tradition of Tudor ‘Kissing Boughs’ (now called a Christmas Wreath) whilst crafting your own sustainable wreath to take home to adorn your door or centre piece. Booking essential. £62 with a 20% discount for National Trust members.
