Christmas at Sutton House

Fri 29 November, Sun 1, Fri 6, Sun 8, Fri 13 & Sun 15 December 2024

From a Tudor Christmas feast with wassail bowl and cockentrice, to the Victorian creations of crackers and Christmas cards, a wealth of festive traditions are featured throughout the house.

There's even a special 1980s Christmas tree and colourful Christmas lights, along with our traditional festive greenery and twinkling candles.

This year, there’ll also be a tree decorated with snowflake paper cuts made in collaboration with artist Chloe Campbell and local school children and volunteers, inspired by the 17th century paper cuttings currently on display in the house.

Families can follow an interactive trail through the house featuring toys that would have been gifted at Christmas in years gone past. There’s also the chance to meet Father Christmas and have a photo taken with him!

Father Christmas

Father Christmas will be visiting Sutton House on Sundays 1, 8 and 15 December 2024, 12-4pm.

£9 per child and up to two accompanying adults.

Booking essential.
