Join us for a special guided walk through the beautiful grounds of Wightwick Manor and Gardens and the nearby Smestow Valley Local Nature Reserve. This unique event, organised by the National Trust in collaboration with the Friends of Smestow Valley Local Nature Reserve, offers a wonderful opportunity to discover the rich natural and historical landscape that connects these two remarkable spaces.

Saturday 3 May, 10am - 12:30pm, to meet at the Visitor Reception at Wightwick Manor -tickets are free, but booking is essential.

Our knowledgeable guides, James Carnell (Head Gardener at Wightwick Manor) and David Cockburn (resident tree specialist with the Friends of Smestow Valley), will lead the walk. Together, they will share insights about the local flora, fauna, and the ongoing conservation efforts in the valley.

Please note, this walk involves uneven terrain and is suitable only for those with good mobility and a reasonable level of fitness. Please wear sturdy footwear and appropriate outdoor clothing and bring water and anything else you may need for your comfort. Walkers are welcome to bring nature identification apps or guidebooks.

Booking is essential. Secure your free place by emailing wightwickmanor@nationaltrust.org.uk If you can no longer attend after booking, please call 01902 760106 so we can re-allocate your tickets.
