Ramsey Spring Heritage Open Day 2025
Come see inside the late Medieval Gatehouse, one of the last remains of the Benedictine Abbey in Ramsey. There is no charge to visiting the Gatehouse and looking inside.

On the 5th April, Ramsey Abbey Gatehouse will be opening its doors as part of its Spring Heritage Open Day.
Ramsey Abbey Gatehouse is due to open from 11am to 4pm, which will be the first time it opens to the public this year.
Visitors will be able to look around the medieval Gatehouse, free of charge, and see some of the remains of the Abbey which are stored in the building.
The Heritage Open Day is being led by Ramsey Heritage Partnership which includes St Thomas a Beckett Church, the Lady Chapel, and Ramsey Rural Museum.
As part of the Heritage Open Day the different members of Ramsey Heritage Partnership will be opening to the public.

There will be information about the Heritage Open Day at the various Heritage Partnership member sites.
- What to bring and wear
Normal everyday clothing can be worn. If looking to walk to other Heritage Partnership sites then appropriate footwear should be worn.
- Accessibility
The lower level to Ramsey Abbey Gatehouse can be accessed by wheelchair via the road. The upper level is a spiral staircase which doesn't have a handrail.
