Historically the Lizard has always been a bit of a secret spot for surfing, however, these days it's well known to both locals and visitors. Beginners or those with less experience can have a lesson with former professional surfer Dan Joel at his surf school in Poldhu. Dan is an ambassador for the National Trust and shares our concerns about the environment and conservation, so a quick beach clean after your surf lesson may follow.
Poldhu beach is RNLI Lifeguarded in high season. Please remember to check the weather before your visit.
