Degibna and Higher Pentire walk

This circular, 2.5 mile trail makes its way through Higher Pentire farm and then along one side of Loe Pool.

Start point

Degibna chapel car park (NT), postcode: TR12 7PR

Step 1

Start at the National Trust car park opposite Degibna methodist chapel. Leave the car park at the far end, and follow the track down through Degibna farm. At the lakeside path, turn left and follow the path along the lakeside to Degibna Wood, Lower Pentire and Carminowe Creek. Ignoring the boardwalk, go straight ahead, across a field, with the river on the right.

Step 2

At the far side, go through the gate and turn left, up the stony track known as Dark Lane. At the fork, bear left and continue uphill, past an old quarry.

Step 3

Turn left at the gate, and follow the waymarked path as it skirts Higher Pentire. At the track, turn right to reach the car park.
