Eating and shopping at Arlington Court

After a morning spent exploring the house and garden at Arlington Court, some refreshment may be in order. Located in what were once the kitchens for the main house, the aptly named Old Kitchen Tea-Room offers a selection of lunches and light bites to suit every taste. Following your feed, have a browse in the shop and second-hand bookshop.

The Old Kitchen Tea-Room 

Stop by the Old Kitchen Tea-Room to enjoy a coffee or a leisurely lunch. Menu options vary throughout the day, but generally include:

Lunch: 12 noon–2.30pm 

  • Seasonal soups 
  • One-pots 
  • Hot snacks such as meat pasties, cheese pasties, curried cauliflower and chickpea pasties (vegan), and sausage rolls 

All day: 10am–3.30pm  

  • A selection of homemade cakes and tray bakes  
  • A selection of hot, cold and seasonal drinks 
  • Cream teas 
  • A small selection of ice cream 

Please note that some of the above may change subject to availability.

Home Farm Café

Exploring the wider estate? Home Farm Cafe is open during the weekends in summer and located by the heron gates near the main car park. A great place to stop off for refreshements while on the Lake walk around the estate. 

If you’re short on time, Home Farm café also offers a great selection of grab-and-go snacks, drinks and scooped ice cream.

Most of the food and drink served is prepared on site in our kitchen, using a wide range of ingredients. As a result, we can’t guarantee that any of our food and drink products are completely allergen free. 

If you have an allergy or intolerance and would like ingredient information about the food and drink served, please ask the staff, who will be happy to help.

The shop offers a wide range of gifts and souvenirs. With everything from chutneys to real ales, scarves to hand-crafted jewellery, you're sure to find a gift for a loved one or a treat for yourself.

The second-hand bookshop 

Pop into the second-hand bookshop at Arlington Court to browse a wide variety of fiction and non-fiction bargains.
All proceeds from the bookshop go directly towards the care and conservation of Arlington Court and the wider estate.
