What to expect

Finch Foundry is the last working water-powered forge in England. There are narrow and uneven steps to access many of the foundry areas. The forge can be quite dark and the floor is made of compacted ash and quite uneven. The machinery can be very lound when it's running.

The tour lasts around an hour, however there is no limit to the amount of time you can spend at Finch Foundry during your visit. Access to the foundry buildings is only available as part of the guided tour, however you’re free to explore the garden, and make use of the picnic benches and toilets.
