Dogs are welcome on footpaths at Overbeck's Garden during the 2025 season. There’s also miles of woodland, countryside and coastal trails for your four-legged friend to explore around Overbeck's.
Pawprint rating
We’re making it easier for you to find out how dog-friendly your visit will be before you and your pet arrive. To help with this, we've created a new pawprint rating system and given all the places in our care a rating.
Overbeck's Garden is rated two pawprints.
This means Overbeck's Garden provides water bowls, bins and dog-friendly walks to enjoy in the surrounding countryside before and after your visit. You’ll be able to take your dog into some areas of Overbeck's Garden, but not everywhere.

There are a range of dog-friendly coast and countryside walks to Overbeck's Garden starting from National Trust East Soar car park, to enjoy before and after your visit to Overbeck's Garden. Tor Woods can be accessed from the path above the garden, or halfway down the drive. Walk from East Soar car park to Overbeck's Garden with your dog.
Assistance dogs
Assistance dogs are allowed to access Overbeck's Garden at all times and are welcome in all areas.
