Wembury strandline walk
This circular walk from Wembury Beach to Wembury Point heads out via the coast path and back along the beach. There are sea views out to the Great Mewstone as well as opportunities to go rockpooling and search the strandline for marine treasures.
Check tide times
This route is dependent on tide times as it's not possible to walk back along the beach at high tide. Check www.tidetimes.org.uk for more information.

Start point
Wembury Beach National Trust car park, grid ref SX515485
Step 1
Walk down towards the beach and follow the path along the coast to the west.
Step 2
Note the slipway to your right. On the next Step, the midway point of the walk, this will allow you to access the beach for the route back.

Step 3
Once you've dropped on to the beach, the path crosses some rocky outcrops, be sure to watch your footing. There's always lots to be found along this section of the coast.
Step 4
When you reach the rocky section of the beach you'll come across warm, shallow pools. These rockpools are home to some colourful marine life, so get ready to spend plenty of time investigating.
Step 5
Follow the bottom of the cliffs here for flatter ground and a slightly easier walk. But be aware of debris falling from above.
Step 6
The walk comes to a close back at your starting point near the car park at Wembury Beach.
