Whether you’d like to make new friends, learn new skills or help look after our special places, there are many reasons to volunteer in west Dorset.
Open day
We're holding an open morning on Thursday 6 March from 10am-1pm at the Stinsford Building, Kingston Maurward College. You'll have the chance to meet the team, ask questions and and discover how you can help bring our places to life.
Volunteering opportunities
- Tour Guide at Clouds Hill: Bring history to life by sharing the story of T.E. Lawrence’s cottage.
- Visitor Welcome at Hardy Monument & Hive Beach: Greet visitors, help manage parking and maintain a welcoming atmosphere at these popular sites.
- West Dorset Countryside Rangers: Assist with conservation, land management and local wildlife preservation alongside experienced National Trust rangers.
- Trust10k Running Event Support: Help coordinate or act as a tail runner for the monthly 10k run at Golden Cap Estate.
