Pride - audio drama around the house

See Kingston Lacy through the eyes of William John, who despite being forced into exile in 1841, continued to send detailed instructions for Kingston Lacy's transformation.

  • Booking essential
  • Free event (admission applies)

William John was charged for the second time with same-sex acts in 1841 and fled the country and execution. During his exile, he continued to send his siblings detailed instructions for the transformation of Kingston Lacy and his collections. William John was never able to live at Kingston Lacy again, but it's thought that he risked his life to visit Kingston Lacy at least once before his death.

Follow the story throughout Pride month as we imagine his visit to his beloved house in the dead of night and walk around the rooms with him and his sister, Anne.

Allow 45-60 minutes for this self-led audio drama.
