Volunteer Ranger Taster Session- Scrub Management

If you have an interest in nature and like the outdoors, or are just keen to meet new people, we are looking for people to join our Ranger team at Danbury.

Join our Ranger team at Danbury for the day! Trial our volunteer Ranger role before you decide to join our volunteering team. Help the ranger team with practical work, monitor wildlife nature and habitats and help to keep the countryside in great condition. Tasks will vary dependent on requirement on the day.

No prior experience needed, just enthusiasm for nature and the outdoors! There will be walking and various practical tasks as well as the opportunity to learn more about Danbury, its history, landscape, nature and archaeology

Meeting point

Meet at Danbury Common car park, 1 mile south from Danbury village centre along B1418 at 10 am.

What to bring and wear

Please make sure you wear sturdy footwear and long trousers/sleeves as the scrub can be sharp. Please bring waterproofs, sun cream - we continue whatever the weather.

Accessibility

We always strive to make any adjustments for accessibility, so please get in touch if you have any access requirements which will need consideration. Please note that this is an active outdoors role.

Other

Please bring lunch and drinks with you as there are no facilities on site. Please book your free place to ensure your spot on the taster session.
