Gentle Stroll: Kensworth Quarry
Come and discover the largest active chalk quarry in the UK on this guided gentle stroll.

The route will take you on a round trip from our Visitor Centre to admire striking views of the the quarry and its beautiful turquoise waters.
Recognised as a geological Site of Special Scientific Interest, along the way, you will get to know its history, significance and the unique wildlife that grows here. The walk is very causal, giving you the chance to pause, chat and make friends along the way.
Afterwards, View Café will be open for you to relax over a rewarding brew and sweet treat.
Adult tickets are £4, children £2. Normal car parking charges apply. Please book ahead as there will be limited availability on the day.
The route contains some hilly areas and steps and so is sadly not suitable for wheelchairs or pushchairs.
