Willow Weaving Workshop
Learn to craft your very own charming willow chicken with local willow tutor, Anne Solomon.
- Booking essential
Join willow tutor, Anne Solomon, for a fun and creative workshop where you'll learn to craft your very own charming willow chicken! Standing at approximately 18" tall, your handmade creation will bring delight and personality to any garden. Alternatively, displayed in a plant pot or log, your chicken will also make a striking indoor feature, adding a touch of nature to your home.
You'll also create long, sturdy legs for your chicken, allowing it to stand firmly when inserted about 6" into the soil for added stability.
Whether you're a complete beginner or have some weaving experience, Anne, our expert local willow weaver, will guide you through every step of the process. This relaxed, enjoyable class will be held in the heart of Hidcote, inside the cozy Potting Shed.
All materials and tools will be provided, along with refreshments to keep you energized throughout the 4-hour workshop.
Food and drink: Tea, coffee and cake will be provided, however if you want to bring a packed lunch for something more substantial to eat, you are welcome to do so.
• Please note, food and drinks prepared in our kitchens are made using a wide range of ingredients. Whilst we do our very best, we can't guarantee that any of our products are totally allergen free. • If you require more information about ingredients or allergens for an event, please contact the property directly.

- Other
The workshop is for those aged 18 and over. If you would like to bring an older teenager, please reach out, and we will do our best to accommodate them. The workshop runs from 10.00 am to 2.00 pm. Please arrive 15 minutes early to check in and get settled in with a cup of tea or coffee before we begin. There will be a short break mid-morning for tea and cake, however you are welcome to bring your own packed lunch if you want something more substantial to eat. We recommend bringing an apron, gloves, or wearing old clothes, as weaving can get a little messy. Comfortable layers are also a good idea, as the weaving can get warm. While all tools will be provided, you’re welcome to bring your own secateurs if you prefer. Since the work involves detailed, close-up tasks, don't forget your reading glasses. And for safety, we suggest wearing closed-toed shoes, as items can sometimes be accidentally knocked off the table. Safety glasses will be available for anyone who needs them.
