Paintings and Poetry

Come and join us for an immersive deep dive into a Stanley Spencer painting, followed by a World War One poetry reading.

  • Booking not needed
  • Free event (admission applies)

Once a month there is an opportunity to join us for a deep dive into an individual painting given by one of our experienced Chapel Stewards. This exclusive opportunity will last approximately 15 minutes and help you understand Stanley’s painting style, his inspiration and context within the setting. This is then followed by a unique experience of hearing poetry from World War one poets spoken in the Chapel.
