Join us this Spring for our series of displays celebrating renowned artist John Singer Sargent, his love of colour and the inspiration he drew from the English Country Garden.
Sargent’s paint box and palettes are on public display for the first time here at Ightham Mote and offer a rare, behind the scenes glimpse into his technique, working methods and his favourite range of oil paint colours. Seasonal flowers complement the colour ways in Sargent’s paintings, freshly picked from Ightham Mote’s gardens, in arrangements around the house.
