A Christmas Frost at Knole

Saturday 23 November - Monday 23 December

Grand trees and glistening decorations fill a selection of the historic showrooms with sparkling displays inspired by Knole’s silver collection. Objects normally tucked away in the King’s Room will take centre stage across the showrooms, alongside towering trees draped with silver and frosted decorations.

Starting in the Great Hall you can warm yourself by the roaring fire, as many a visitor to Knole would have done on a winter's day, taking in the sparkling tree, splendid table display and Christmas carols playing in the background. Once you've soaked up the atmosphere in the hall, explore the Ballroom, Reynolds Room, Cartoon Gallery and King's Room and their frost-themed decorations. There's also a spotter trail, where you can see how many little deer you can find around the showrooms.

Continue your merry journey around Knole and climb the spiral stairs in the Gatehouse Tower for panoramic views of the parkland. On the way you can discover the life and loves of a former resident and 1930s-inspired festivities.

Showrooms open daily until 23 December 2024, 11am-4pm (last entry 3.30pm). Normal admission to Knole applies.

More information on Christmas in the showrooms can be found here.
