'Between the Covers with Vita': an exhibition (10 February 2025 - 7 September 2025).

A new exhibition at Sissinghurst Castle, hosted in the Oast Exhibition Space, offers an in-depth exploration of best-selling author Vita Sackville-West's work, showcasing her trailblazing works on themes of love, identity, and legacy.

Vivid commissioned artwork by artist Sarah Tanat-Jones will accompany never displayed before objects chronicling Vita's literary journey from her first published piece to her last.

Novels and poetry by Vita will offer fresh insight into her creative practice, spotlighting her significance and influence on 20th century literature.

Discover the interplay of artistic expression and the inspirations Vita drew from personal life, and how contemporary audiences today can engage with them.

Meeting point

Please scan your membership cards or pay for entry at Visitor Reception. The exhibition will be located next to Visitor Reception, upstairs in the Oast Exhibition Space.

What to bring and wear

The exhibition will be indoors. Please have your entry ticket on hand to enter the space.

Accessibility

The exhibition will be located upstairs in the Oast Exhibition Space. There is no step free access.

Other

The exhibition is free to attend but all visitors must obtain an entry ticket to view the space. They may be asked to present the entry ticket, not National Trust cards, at the door to the exhibition.
