Second-hand bookshop

Browse our wide range of quality pre-loved books in the entrance to the Visitor Centre and in Edith's bookshop. Named in memory of Edith Burvil - a civilian cook who was killed in 1943 near Fan Bay when a shell landed on the cookhouse - our bookshop has something for everyone.

The bookshop is looked after by a team of volunteers who sort the books to make them easier to find and quickly fill any gaps in the shelves.

From novels to short stories, autobiographies to atlases; young or not so young, you're almost bound to find something that you'll enjoy at a price you'll like. Why not buy one as a gift? Be quick though - our books sell fast.

And if your bookshelves at home are nearing collapse, why not relieve them of the strain by donating some books to us? All funds raised in the second-hand bookshop go towards supporting our projects at White Cliffs.
