Easter trail at Allan Bank
This spring, treat the family to a mini adventure on Allan Bank's Easter trail.
- Booking not needed
- Admission applies
Follow in the footsteps of Wordsworth's children, John, Dora, Thomas, Catherine and William on an Easter trail around the garden at Allan Bank where the family once lived. The trail costs £3.50 and includes a trail sheet, bunny ears and a dairy or vegan/Free-from chocolate egg. No booking
Inside you’ll find Easter themed printing blocks you can use to decorate a hard-boiled egg. Once dry, take your egg outside to have a go at the Georgian tradition of egg rolling in the garden. There are fun games to challenge your egg handling skills. Pick up and an egg and spoon to have a race or try your hand at ‘egg’ throwing. Become a hero or a villain, by putting on a cape and picking up a play sword to re-enact your own traditional Easter ‘Pace’ play. No booking required.
