Heritage Open Days - Guided Heritage Walk

We are delighted to be hosting these free guided heritage walks as part of Heritage Open Days week - England’s largest festival of history and culture.

Join a member of the National Trust team and discover Fell Foot's fascinating history with a guided walk around the grounds and learn how its story connects with the broader history of Lake Windermere.

This free guided walk is an opportunity to gain new insight into Fell Foot and the surrounding area.

Booking is not essential but we recommend you book so we have an idea of numbers.

What to bring and wear

Appropriate outdoor shoes and suitable clothing for the weather

Accessibility

Accessible toilets in main car park and at the Active Base. Changing Places facility. Wheelchair accessible pathway. Mountain trike available to hire free of charge. Level access to cafe and outdoor viewing platform. Grounds partly accessible, some loose gravel paths, slopes and some areas of undulating terrain.
